Austin credits his career to the experience he had sitting in a barber’s chair as a client. “After my first real barber haircut, I walked out with confidence.” He wants that feeling for every client, too. Austin attended Flint Institute of Barbering and mastered the art of working with all types and textures of hair. After graduating in 2016, Austin started his professional career by working for his own barber. He later joined the staff of Detroit Barbers – just as it opened. He considers Detroit Barbers to be “quality over quantity” shop, which means he takes time with his clients to ensure they have a good experience. Austin lives in Chesterfield Township and is working on perfecting his own beard.
