Emma is the one staff member at Detroit Barbers you don’t want to play opposite from in a friendly game of volleyball. She’ll destroy you. Right out of high school, she turned down a volleyball scholarship to attend The Paul Mitchell School in Michigan. She never looked back. Emma enjoys how the work changes day-to-day – not only meeting new people - but also the evolution of hair styles. “It’s a very creative industry to be in,” she said. The one thing that can truly make a difference? “A beard trim. Like eyebrows on women, a beard trim can completely change your whole look.” Emma lives in Royal Oak. When she’s not at the shop, you’ll find her traveling, socializing, camping or playing volleyball or softball.
