Mike joined Detroit Barbers in May 2017, but he perfected his skills in New York City schools and salons - even running his own haircutting studio in Brooklyn. “I studied multiple levels of barbering and haircutting in New York from every borough and neighborhood possible,” he said. A native Detroiter, Mike is known for his scissor work, custom shaping, blending – and helping clients enhance hair and scalp health. But he’s also a team player who focuses on offering great customer service. When he’s not at the shop, Mike travels around Michigan. He’s involved with the music department at his church, songwriting groups and plays in a band.
