Barbering for Garden City

Garden City is a smaller, tight-knit community without a Detroit Barbers shop inside it, so residents make the drive north to our Forest Ave location in downtown Plymouth. Merriman Rd and Middlebelt Rd both work well, connecting to Ann Arbor Rd or Five Mile before heading west into town.

The trip usually takes 18 to 22 minutes, a bit longer than some of our closer feeder cities, but Garden City regulars tell us the fades and beard trims are worth it. Once you reach downtown Plymouth, Forest Ave is a block off Main St, near enough to Kellogg Park that waiting for your turn is not a hardship.

Fade haircuts start at $40 and line-ups are $20, both popular requests from our Garden City customers. A standard men's cut is $35, and if you are due for a shave, our $45 hot-towel straight-razor treatment is a solid once-a-month upgrade.

Families near Garden City Park bring kids in for $30 haircuts on weekends, and our barbers keep the process quick without cutting corners. It is a small thing, but it matters when you are trying to get a kid out the door for a birthday party or team photo.

Detroit Barbers Plymouth runs Tuesday through Friday 10 to 7, Saturday 10 to 5, Sunday 11 to 5, and Monday 11 to 6. That Monday slot is unique to the Plymouth shop, which makes it a useful option for Garden City residents whose weekends are already packed with family obligations.

Garden City sits tucked between Westland and Inkster, and residents here are used to driving a bit farther for specialty services that are not available inside city limits, whether that is a particular restaurant or, in this case, a barbershop that does detailed fade work.
