Redford does not have a Detroit Barbers shop of its own, and the honest answer for where to go is our Southfield Town Center location a short drive north up Telegraph Rd. We would rather tell you that directly than pretend a Redford shop exists.

The route is straightforward whether you start near Bell Creek Park or closer to the Telegraph Rd corridor businesses. Telegraph Rd north connects to either Eight Mile Rd or I-696, both of which lead toward Northwestern Hwy and then directly into Southfield Town Center at Civic Center Dr. Most trips land in the fifteen to twenty minute range.

Once there, the shop is set up for skin fades, tapers, line-ups, beard trims, and a straight-razor hot towel shave, all done by barbers who work this menu every day rather than occasionally. A men's haircut starts at $35, a fade at $40, kids cuts at $30, beard trims and line-ups at $20 each, and the hot towel shave at $45.

Parking is free in the covered Town Center decks, a clear upgrade over hunting for street parking near the Redford Theatre district on a busy Saturday. We also see Redford customers timing their visit around the evening commute, since Telegraph Rd and I-696 both feed naturally toward Southfield anyway.

We're open Tuesday through Saturday, plus Sunday 11-5, and closed Monday. If you're coming from the Telegraph corridor on a Saturday, booking ahead online is worth doing since that's typically our busiest day.

Redford Township has long been a working-class community built around the Telegraph Rd corridor, and a lot of longtime residents already treat Southfield and Livonia as their two go-to neighboring cities for anything not available closer to home. Families near Redford Union High School or the neighborhoods around Berg Rd often plan the Southfield trip around a weekend errand run to the stores near Eight Mile and Telegraph, since both are on the same general route. We also see a number of clients tied to the Redford Community Center and local youth sports leagues who bring kids in for a quick trim between practices. Residents closer to the Livonia border sometimes find it just as fast to head north on Telegraph and cut east near I-96 instead of using I-696, depending on the time of day. Either route gets you to the same free parking decks and the same steady barbers once you arrive. Guys who grew up getting cuts at a small shop off Telegraph Rd tend to notice the difference in consistency once they switch to a regular fade schedule with us, and that consistency is usually what keeps them coming back month after month.
