Oxford is the farthest of our cluster cities from an actual Detroit Barbers shop, and we're not going to pretend the drive is shorter than it is. Your closest location is on Adams Rd in Rochester Hills, about 20 minutes south down Lapeer Rd, also known as M-24.

The route is easy to remember even if it's a bit of a haul: Lapeer Rd south almost the entire way, then a jog west onto Tienken Rd before dropping down to Adams Rd and the Adams Square plaza. There's a free surface lot right at the entrance, so once you arrive, parking is not something you have to think about, unlike some spots near downtown Oxford on Washington St during a festival weekend.

Because the trip is longer, we try to make it worth it. Fades are cut clean enough that most guys stretch to three weeks between visits instead of two. Beard trims are shaped for guys who spend a lot of time outside around Seymour Lake or working land out in Oxford Township, where a beard tends to get shaggy fast if nobody's keeping it in line.

Oxford still has the feel of a small farm town even as new subdivisions fill in along Lapeer Rd, and downtown shops around Washington St and Burdick St draw a steady crowd for the Oxford Art Fair and other summer events. Families out near Seymour Lake or Lakeville Lake often plan the drive down to Adams Rd around a weekend of boating, since a haircut and a beard trim fit naturally into a Saturday that already includes a stop in town for supplies. Oxford Community Schools students getting ready for homecoming or a sports season opener make up a good chunk of our fall traffic from this area, since parents like getting it done in one trip rather than searching for a closer option that may not have the same fade experience. Thomas Rd and Drahner Rd both feed into Lapeer Rd if you are coming from the eastern side of the township, adding only a few minutes either way. Long drive or not, the same $35 haircuts, $40 fades, and free parking are waiting at the end of it.
