Who we are
Detroit Barbers ("Detroit Barbers", "we", "us") operates eight barbershops in Metro Detroit, takes appointments online, and sells grooming products online. This policy covers detroitbarbers.com, our online booking, our online shop and our text-message and email programs.
Information we collect
Information you give us: your name, phone number, email address, appointment details, preferred shop and barber, notes you add to a booking, and shipping and billing details when you order products.
Information collected automatically: pages you visit, the page that referred you, approximate location derived from your IP address, device and browser type, and campaign tags or ad click identifiers in the link you used to reach us (for example utm tags, gclid or fbclid).
Payment card details are entered directly with our payment processors (Square and Shopify). We do not store full card numbers.
How we use your information
To book, confirm, remind you of, change and cancel appointments; to process, ship and support product orders; to answer your questions; to send messages you have agreed to receive; to understand which pages and ads bring customers to us; to prevent fraud and abuse; and to meet legal obligations. We do not sell your personal information.
Text messaging (SMS) consent and opt-out
We send text messages only to people who give us their mobile number and agree to receive them. Consent to receive marketing texts is never a condition of booking or buying.
Message frequency varies. Message and data rates may apply. You can opt out at any time by replying STOP to any message; you will receive one confirmation and no further texts. Reply START or UNSTOP to opt back in, or HELP for help. You can also email hello@detroitbarbers.com.
No mobile information will be shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. Text messaging originator opt-in data and consent will not be shared with any third parties, except subcontractors such as our messaging provider that deliver the messages you asked for.

Booking emails (confirmations, changes, reminders) are sent as part of the service you requested. Marketing emails include an unsubscribe link, and you can unsubscribe at any time.
Cookies, analytics and advertising pixels
We use cookies and similar technologies to keep the site working, remember your booking progress, and measure traffic. We use Google Analytics to understand how the site is used, and Google Ads and the Meta (Facebook/Instagram) Pixel to measure whether our ads lead to bookings and to show relevant ads. These services may set their own cookies and receive information such as pages viewed, device information and a booking-completed event.
You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings, opt out of Google ads personalization at adssettings.google.com, and manage Meta ad preferences in your Facebook or Instagram settings. Blocking cookies may affect some site features.
Who we share information with
Service providers that help us run the business: Square (appointments and in-shop payments), Shopify (online store and checkout), our hosting and database providers, our email and text-message providers, and analytics and advertising partners described above. They may use your information only to provide services to us. We may also disclose information when required by law or to protect our rights and customers.
How long we keep information
We keep booking and order records as long as needed to provide service, keep business and tax records, and resolve disputes. Opt-out records are kept so we continue honoring your choice.
Your choices and rights
You may ask us to access, correct or delete your personal information, or to stop marketing messages, by emailing hello@detroitbarbers.com. We will respond within a reasonable time.
Children
Our website is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their personal information online. Parents book appointments for children.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy. The date at the top shows when it last changed.
