Orion Township covers a lot of ground between Baldwin Rd, I-75, and the border with Waterford Township, and there isn't a Detroit Barbers shop sitting in the middle of it. What we have is a Rochester Hills location on Adams Rd that ends up being the closest real option for most of the township.

If you're on the east side near Baldwin Rd, the drive south to Walton Blvd and over to Adams Rd takes about 12 minutes. If you're closer to I-75 on the west side, the Joslyn Rd exit gets you to Walton Blvd just as fast heading the other direction. Either way you end up at the Adams Square plaza, where there's a free surface lot right at the door.

Orion Township has a lot of young families in the subdivisions off Baldwin Rd, and kids cuts make up a solid chunk of our Saturday schedule. We don't rush a nervous six-year-old through a first haircut, and we don't treat a nine-year-old regular any differently than an adult client.

For the adults, fades are the most requested service, cut clean enough to go two to three weeks between visits. Beard trims are shaped rather than buzzed flat, which matters for guys who've been growing one out over a Michigan winter and don't want to start over from scratch.

Whether you're coming off I-75 at Joslyn Rd or straight down Baldwin Rd, plan on roughly 12 minutes door to door. Weekday evenings after 5 and Saturday mornings are the busiest windows, so book online if you want a guaranteed slot, or walk in and we'll work you into the rotation.

A number of clients split time between the Baldwin Rd side of the township and jobs closer to Rochester Hills or Troy, and for them the Adams Rd shop sits almost exactly on the way home, which is part of why it has become the default stop instead of searching for something closer to the subdivision.

Orion Township is also home to Lake Orion's school district boundaries in places, along with several large subdivisions built up around Clarkston Rd and the lakes scattered through the township, so plenty of families here already treat Rochester Hills and Lake Orion as their two default towns for errands. The Polly Ann Trail cuts through part of the township and draws a steady stream of walkers and cyclists, some of whom stop for a beard trim on their way home after a long weekend ride. We also see clients tied to the Great Lakes Crossing Outlets area combine a shopping trip with a haircut, since both are a similar distance from most of the township. Waterford Township residents near the shared border sometimes find our Adams Rd shop closer than anything on their own side, and they have become regulars over time as well. However you get here, the free lot and consistent fade work are the same every visit.
