Getting a same-day chair
Same-day openings come from two places: gaps left in the schedule that morning, and cancellations that free up an hour or two ahead of time. Cancellations post to the book the moment they happen, so the list above is worth refreshing if nothing suits you right now.
Widening your search by a few miles helps more than waiting. Our shops sit close enough together that Ferndale, Royal Oak and Birmingham are a short drive apart, as are Shelby Township and Rochester Hills. If your usual shop is full, the next one over often has the hour you need.
Same day, but make it count
A rushed booking still deserves a clear ask. Bring a photo or name the length in guard numbers, tell the barber how long since the last cut, and say where you are headed afterward. A cut for a wedding is finished differently than a cut for Monday's stand-up meeting.
